Volunteers have become essential in performing the day-to-day tasks of keeping the Centre open for visitors, but also for launching exhibits and offering special events like the Heritage Weekend.
For longer term and occasional volunteers in the Centre, candidates will be interviewed and selections made based upon suitability.
As there is never quite sufficient time to get all jobs done, volunteers are greeted with broad smiles.
